Hall of Fame
Rotor - Zagreb
As we already announced in our newsflashes,
this ZGBKaos issue is dedicated to Zagreb's
new Hall of Fame - Rotor. Your editor himself
was pleasantly surprised by both quantity and
quality of the works on view. To tell the truth,
Gene has got an inviolable title of the most
productive writer there but all Zg writers are
present on Rotor walls as well.
We've issued instructions for those of you who
don't know where Rotor is, but who plan to visit
this site.
The easiest way to get there is by tram. Take
No. 14 from main Zagreb's square, Ban J. Jelačić
(westbound) - your stop - Jadranska
avenija - is the first one after Studentski dom, or you can go from Zagreb's main bus
station, take No. 7
(southbound) and get off on Jadranska avenija
as well. The stop is placed in the middle of the Hall of Fame so you must be terribly disabled
to overlook it.
All around the Hof there are several parking
lots - you shouldn't have any problems if you're
coming by car either. We're attaching a little
piece of map as well, just in case.
Hall of Fame consists of the following:
There are two main walls on each side of the tram stop, which is placed on the
outer branch of Rotor (which is a local name
for a round-about - here it's also used as a
personal name because it denotes exactly this
rotor, the biggest round-about in Zagreb).
These two walls are the main surface for writing
(you can see it in ZGBKaos No. 3). Other smaller
walls are in the passages below Rotor. There
are four such passages. Tram passes through
two of them. In these two you can find some
of the best pieces.
By the decline of Varšavska and Križanićeva
Hofs, Rotor has automatically become Zagreb's
HoF No. 1. There's an important fact that no
one has tried to scribble over the works so
far (touch wood) and we firmly believe this
will stay like this.
The most active writer is Grand Master Gene,
followed by Snol, Teask... Of course you can
find some guest stars as well.
Hopefully, this is only a beginning...
