MEETING OF STYLES JAM
The first international Meeting of Styles Jam's
brought together around 40 guests from surrounding
countries. There were 9 writers from Germany,
8 from Italy, 2 from Greece, 1 from Slovenia,
3 from Bosnia, 11 from several Croatian towns
(Osijek, Split, Rijeka, Kri¾evci, Slavonski
Brod) and 12 from Zagreb.
We managed to organize a relatively large jam
using a simple formula: minimum cash, maximum
bash (ie: two formidable parties). Intro party
(Friday, Aquarius club) gathered a record number
of female graffiti and hip-hop fans that have
aroused the inspiration for Saturday.
The catering offer by <Ani> restaurant
was more than enough to fill our bellies all
day long. At the Saturday night party the majority
was a bit tired to hold their own with the unstoppable
beat of Stoka and the accompanying crew during
after hour. Speaking of Stoka (Croatian hip-hop
singer), he's made good use of the occasion
to promote his first solo CD.
On the whole, these were two quite intense days
- for some of use even three, if we count Thursday
night and spreeing at Ivana Kindl's show in
Sax club as well - plus chill-out Sunday with
messing around at the Feren¹cica school playground
and inevitable BBQ...
